BaKoMa TeX 11.80 Mac runs on Mac OS X 10.8 and later.
Just click the [Download] button to download and install BaKoMa TeX. Much more additional packages will be downloaded from our servers and added to your installation when they are required by your documents. Read more about this version.
To install BaKoMa TeX just click on [Download] link, wait for download completion, and open downloaded pkg-file.
Incremental Update
ATTENTION: Upgrade to BaKoMa TeX 11.50 from previous versions requires Clear Reinstall.
If you have found more newer version of BaKoMa TeX on our site then one installed on your computer you can update it in following steps:
Restart your computer. [click apple in left top corner of your display and choose 'Restart...' option]
In case of OSX 10.7 (Lion) check off 'Reopen windows when logging back in' in restart confirmation dialog.
After this step we can be sure that no BaKoMa TeX programs are running and that all cashes will be resetted properly.Download newer pkg-file and open it.
In this case only updated latex packages will be reinstalled. In most cases it will be done much faster then complete reinstall.
Clear Reinstall
In case of corrupted updates, autodownloads, reconfigs installation may be inconsistent.
In this case problems may be solved by Clear reinstall, which must be done precisely in following order:
Restart your computer. [click apple in left top corner of your display and choose 'Restart...' option]
In case of OSX 10.7 (Lion) check off 'Reopen windows when logging back in' in restart confirmation dialog.Remove '/Applications/BaKoMa TeX' folder.
Remove '~/Library/BaKoMa TeX' directory. [It clears all user settings] In case of several users this action may be required for every user.
Install BaKoMa TeX again by opening proper pkg-file.
Clear Uninstall
Just perform actions 1-3 from Clear Reinstall.
Recovering ls-R Files
Sometime ls-R files may be truncated.
Consequence is some files are not found and programs can't be started.
To rebuild ls-R files do following:
Launch Terminal.app and execute following commands:
cd "/Applications/BaKoMa TeX/.bakoma/BaKoMa"
sudo ../bin/MacOS/mklsr
cd ../texmf
sudo ../bin/MacOS/mklsr
../bin/MacOS/tnswhich '!Finish'
Limitations of MAC Version
TeX4HT not included - Export HTML4 isn't supported (use Export SVG + HTML).
Package Manager not included - automatical package installation works well.
Key binding is some compromise between Windows and Mac conventions. It is tag for following improvements.
